Quality of product

Although the quality of the product was good it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I've been refinishing trunks for 20 years and this is the first time I need to replace the trunk handle end caps. I thought I could find a way to age the caps to achieve an antiquated look to match the patina of the metal on the rest of the trunk. In the process of trying to age the nickel plated end caps they were ruined. In looking at the rest of the replacement hardware for trunks on the Van Dykes website most of the hardware has a rustic appearance. Don't know why Van Dykes doesn't offer rustic antiquated end caps.

The handle caps with star pattern were really nice. Just wish they came with screws or nails. Now I've got to go and find some.
